Municipal library in Tampakaria

A key element of the synthesis culminates in the ramp, which in a curvilinear form, traverses the whole length of the building and leads the visitor to the premises of the library. The ramp’s revolution creates an inward-looking patio that has been formulated in such a way as to follow the hypsometric curves of the ground and constitutes an extension of the library on to a space that operates as  an open-air reading room. The square that has been created on the eastern side of the rode, which forms its various levels by way of the curve, constitutes a continuation of the visitors stroll to the accessible hall of the library. Lush greenery traverses the whole synthesis by connecting the square, the hall and the patio.
